BLAST AND BALLISTIC ENHANCEMENT FOR EXISTING & NEW WINDOWS

The increased threat level in todays business environment has increased the need to enhance the security of your business premises to protect your personnel and property against injury and damage in the event of random or focused terrorist attack.
Design Rationale provide a range of systems designed to armor your existing buildings against these attacks.
These secondary glazing systems can be designed to protect against all levels of blast or ballistic threat or a combination of these. They also have the capacity to be fire rated to protect the fire escape and evacuation routes in the event that an attack results in a fire
Working closely with the architects and planners we design the windows to compliment both the interior and exterior of the buildings. On grade listed building we pay particular attention to ensure, where ever possible that the structural glazing bars for the blast defense align with those of the existing windows.

BLAST ENHANCED WALL CLADDING

In public spaces the risk of a package or pedestrian bomb poses a serious threat of multiple injuries to the individuals using that space.

In certain public environments the risk of ballistic attack can be very high and the need to protect against a specific threat is increased.
Design Rationale offer a range of product solutions which can provide purely ballistic protection, but can also be combined with blast protection as well.
These solutions can be offered in clear or printed glass or lightweight armored plate within the system allowing normal building construction to be armoured without outwardly changing its appearance
